The opportunity
Are you a strategic people leader? Are you passionate about infrastructure and community outcomes? As the Coordinator Civil Engineering Projects, you'll lead the planning and delivery of Council’s civil infrastructure program, overseeing roads, drainage and related assets. With a focus on high quality capital works, strong people leadership and collaboration across Council, industry and the community, you’ll drive safe, sustainable and cost effective infrastructure outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary civil projects team to deliver capital works outcomes
- Overseeing end‑to‑end delivery of civil infrastructure projects, on time and within budget
- Providing strategic input into Capital Works Planning and Asset Management
- Managing procurement, contracts and performance of consultants and contractors
- Building strong internal, external and community stakeholder relationships
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Current NER registration under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019
- Extensive experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects
- Proven people leadership and team development experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and governance capability

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, and must hold valid engineering registration (NER) in accordance with Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted working rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
