Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Director, with well-honed leadership skills, strong finance skills, excellent understanding of the evolving technology landscape, excellent communication skills, and proven business acumen .

Deep Financial Expertise

· A strong background in finance, accounting, investment, audit or risk, ideally overseeing complex budgets, financial strategy and organisational sustainability

· CPA/CA or equivalent qualifications

· Experience working in a Finance and Risk Committee

· Exposure in M&A / Due diligence activities

· Experience Chairing a Board Finance Committee is desirable, but not essential.

Technology Expertise

· An understanding of cyber risk, AI, data, business continuity and sound technology governance.

· Ability to assess whether technology investments and digital initiatives align with organisational strategy and member expectations.

· Experience in overseeing major technology programs, systems implementations or digital transformation projects.

· Sound data literacy and decision-making skills

· A genuine curiosity and commercial awareness regarding emerging technologies and their impact on business outcomes.

Board and Governance Experience

· Experience serving on a board and/or executive leadership teams in similar or large organisations

· An understanding of governance and fiduciary duties associated with being a Director of a r public company.

· Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to build networks and professional relationships.

· Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) course or equivalent, or willingness to complete (a preference but not compulsory).

Strategic Perspective

· Ability to contribute to long term strategy

· Ability to challenge constructively and support leadership in navigating impact and operational complexity

· Ability to contribute strategic thinking to organisational priorities, financial and risk management and business development.

· Ability to actively and constructively participate in group discussions, listening to others while being prepared to question and challenge where necessary.
