This role is suited to an experienced leader who knows how to build capable teams, strengthen culture, and create an environment where people can do their best work. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officers, you’ll drive the operational, commercial and cultural performance of the site and have genuine input into the direction of the site.

You will lead teams across warehouse operations, transport, customer service, and sales, while partnering closely with national stakeholders to deliver service excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Leading and developing high-performing teams across the Melbourne operation
• Building leadership capability and supporting succession development
• Driving operational performance across warehousing, transport, inventory, and distribution
• Creating a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Supporting customer retention and market growth initiatives alongside sales leadership
• Overseeing HACCP, WHS, and food safety compliance standards
• Monitoring operational performance including labour efficiency, waste management, and stock control
• Strengthening relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders

About you

You are an experienced operational leader who brings a balanced approach to performance, people leadership, and commercial outcomes.

You will likely bring:

• Experience in a senior leadership role such as General Manager, Operations Manager, or Site Manager
• A background in fresh food, FMCG, warehousing, logistics, transport, distribution, cold storage, or supply chain environments
• Strong commercial and operational capability
• Experience leading large, diverse teams
• Knowledge of HACCP, WHS, and operational compliance frameworks
• A genuine passion for leadership development, mentoring, and team engagement
