Our client is a leading innovator in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), delivering advanced clean energy solutions for commercial and utility-scale projects across Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated Field Service Electrician to join their expanding operations team and support the performance and reliability of energy storage assets nationwide.

About the role

This is a hands-on field service role focused on maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance support of live BESS sites.

You will be based in Bayswater, Melbourne, with regular interstate travel (approximately 40%) across VIC, NSW, QLD, and SA. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered.

This role does not involve installation work.

Key responsibilities

• Field-based fault finding, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance on BESS assets
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled service visits
• Supporting troubleshooting activities alongside engineering teams
• Conducting system checks, testing, and performance verification
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures and standards
• Completing clear and accurate service reports and documentation
• Contributing to continuous improvement of system reliability and performance

About you

• A Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
• Strong practical electrical skills and willingness to learn
• Good problem-solving ability and mechanical/electrical aptitude
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Comfortable with regular interstate travel
• Safety-focused and reliable
• Full Australian working rights and valid driver’s licence
