We’re hiring a Specifications & Business Development Manager to lead Victoria for Fatra Australia. This is a foundational hire; the person we bring in will own the state from day one and grow into leading a team as we expand the VIC business over the coming years.

Fatra Australia supplies, manufactures and distributes high-performance waterproofing membranes, insulation, and construction chemicals to the Australian construction industry. We cater to the entire building envelope, with a portfolio spanning Fatrafol PVC membranes, the InnoPro Liquid and Torch-on ranges, and InnoTherm insulation.
Fatra is in a strong growth phase, backed by serious product, systems and infrastructure investment.
The role
You’ll be the face of Fatra in Victoria across both sides of the business driving specifications with architects, engineers and specifiers, and working hands-on with waterproofing contractors to win and service projects on the ground. It’s part technical advisor, part state strategist, part sales rep.
As the VIC business grows, this role grows with it. The right person will build out and lead the Victorian team over time.
Day to day, you’ll be:
• Developing and executing the Victorian specification, sales and growth strategy
• Building genuine, long-term relationships with the VIC specifier community
• Securing project specifications across our full product range
• Acting as the primary sales contact for Victorian waterproofing contractors quoting, supporting and converting opportunities
• Providing expert technical advice through design, approval, application and project delivery
• Running CPD sessions, contractor training, presentations and product demonstrations
• Working closely with the Head of Sales Australia & NZ, and in conjunction with our National Specifications Team, to convert specs into confirmed project sales
• Tracking the market: competitor activity, emerging trends, project pipeline
• Hunting new business across key builders, developers, contractors and industry stakeholders
• Laying the groundwork for a growing Victorian team you’ll eventually lead
What we are looking for
• Experience across both specification and contractor-facing sales within the Australian construction industry (waterproofing, roofing, façade, insulation or related sectors a strong plus)
• An existing network across the Victorian market: architects, engineers, specifiers, builders, developers and waterproofing contractors
• Strong technical aptitude: comfortable reading drawings, talking detailing on site, and holding your own in both a design meeting and a contractor’s site shed
• Commercial sense: you can quote, negotiate and close as well as you can specify
• A self-starter who can run a state without being micromanaged
• Leadership mindset: you want to build and lead a team, not just carry a bag long-term
• Genuine relationship skills: this is a long-cycle business built on trust
• Confident presenter (CPDs, lunch-and-learns, contractor training, product demos)
• Already living and working in Australia preferred. Sponsorship considered for the right person
• Clean driver’s licence
