Role Description

Ondru is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer (Volunteer) for this part-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. The HR Officer will be responsible for managing HR policies, maintaining employee relations, supporting recruitment processes, and collaborating with leadership on organizational HR strategies. Core tasks include developing job descriptions, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with our mission and values.

This is an ideal position for a junior or semi-senior HR practitioner, this role offers a fantastic platform to expand your skills and make a real impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-cycle recruiting process
• Knowledge of HR Policies and Job Description Development
• Strong skills in Employee Relations and staff engagement
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, mission-driven organization
• A background in non-profits or social justice initiatives is an advantage
• Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred
