Senior Design Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced

Senior Design Manager to support their growing pipeline of major projects across South East Queensland.

The Opportunity

Working closely with project and pre-construction teams, you will lead and coordinate the design process from early contractor involvement (ECI) through to project delivery. This role offers a balance of office-based design management and on-site collaboration, ensuring practical and buildable outcomes across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the full design process from concept to construction
• Liaise with consultants, architects, subcontractors and site teams
• Lead value engineering and design optimisation initiatives
• Support tender submissions and ECI activities
• Resolve construction-related design challenges with practical solutions
• Ensure design compliance, programme alignment and quality outcomes

About You

• Proven experience in commercial construction design management
• Background across education, health, commercial or multi-residential projects
• Strong understanding of buildability and construction methodology
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within fast-paced project environments
