Join our Finance & Advice team as an Assistant Financial Control Accountant, supporting the integrity and accuracy of financial records across the Group.
This is a hands-on accounting role focused on month-end close, reconciliations and general ledger accuracy within a large, complex financial services environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial information is complete, accurate and compliant.
What You’ll Do
- Complete month-end close activities including preparing journals
- Maintain balance sheet and bank reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Investigate and resolve ledger and reconciliation issues
- Ensure financial transactions are correctly recorded in the general ledger
- Support audit requirements and respond to audit queries
- Apply financial control standards, policies and governance requirements
- Contribute to improvements that strengthen accounting processes and controls
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Accounting or related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in a junior accounting, assistant accountant or similar role
- Experience with reconciliations, journals and month-end processes
- Solid understanding of general ledger and accounting principles
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Strong Excel capability
- Exposure to Oracle or similar system (desirable)
- CA/CPA studies commenced or willingness to commence (desirable)
- Structured, methodical approach with strong accountability for outcomes
- Curiosity for continuous improvement
