About The Role

We are seeking an experienced QC Site Inspector to join our team. Supporting mining construction and operations activities. In this role you will be the frontline quality assurance presence on site, ensuring all works are executed in strict accordance with project specifications, ITPs, and applicable standards.

You will work closely with construction crews, project engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes across HDPE, civil, and structural/mechanical/piping (SMP) scopes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct day to day QC inspections across HDPE, civil, and SMP works in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Maintain accurate and up to date weld traceability records for all HDPE welding activities on site, including butt fusion and electrofusion joints.
  • Prepare and submit daily inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action requests (CARs) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee receipt, inspection, and control of materials delivered to site. Verify materials against approved material take offs and purchase orders, ensuring certificates of conformance and material test records are correct and traceable to installed items.
  • Ensure all quality inspection activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner consistent with site HSSE plans.
  • Liaise with construction supervisors, engineers, and client representatives on quality matters. Communicate inspection outcomes clearly and professionally, supporting a culture of quality across the project team.

About You

  • Background in HDPE welding, civil works, and/or structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) works, ideally gained on mining.
  • Working knowledge of quality control processes and on-site inspection methodologies, including familiarity with ITPs, hold and witness points, NCR management, and site quality systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HDPE weld traceability on site, including maintenance of weld registers, tracking welder qualifications, and ensuring machine calibration records are current and audit ready.
  • Experience with site based material management, including receipt inspections, verification of material test records and certificates of conformance.
  • Working knowledge of completions management systems (such as Insite, IDAT, or similar)
  • Proven ability to produce accurate, detailed inspection reports and quality records.
  • Recognised HDPE welding qualification, trade qualification (e.g. Polywelding certification for butt-fusion and/or electrofusion) and Construction White Card.
