About the Role

A rare opportunity to lead technology and digital innovation within one of Queensland’s largest and most respected community service organisations.

This is far more than a traditional ICT leadership role, it is a pivotal transformation appointment focused on modernising capability, driving enterprise-wide change, and positioning technology as a strategic enabler of innovation, service excellence and community impact.

Operating within a large and complex environment, the CIO will lead the uplift of the technology landscape while shaping and delivering a future-focused digital strategy aligned to organisational growth, agility and sustainability.

With a strong appetite for innovation, the organisation is seeking a leader who can leverage emerging technologies, AI, automation and advanced digital capabilities to improve operational performance, strengthen decision-making, and enhance client and employee experiences.

The role will lead the development of a contemporary ICT operating model, embedding strong governance, cybersecurity, data privacy and service delivery capability, while fostering a culture where technology is viewed as a driver of innovation.

About the Person

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute and forward-thinking technology executive with a proven track record leading ICT and digital transformation within large, complex environments.

They will bring deep experience delivering enterprise-wide change, with the ability to drive transformation while maintaining operational stability and continuity of critical services.

A highly collaborative and influential leader, the CIO will build trusted relationships across executive, operational and governance stakeholders, translating technology strategy into tangible organisational outcomes.

Critically, the successful candidate will bring proven experience leveraging emerging technologies, AI and automation to deliver meaningful transformation. They will understand and have implemented digital innovation and data capabilities to enhance client experience and assist staff in service delivery.
