Community Accounts Officer

Bene Aged Care is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Community Accounts Officer to join our Community Services team on a part-time basis. This role supports the financial coordination of community programs including Support at Home (SaH), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Veteran’s Home Care (VHC), brokered and private services.

About The Role

The Community Accounts Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of community services financial processes. You will maintain client accounts, support billing and reconciliations, and provide excellent customer service to clients, families and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer community services financial processes
  • Maintain accurate client accounts and financial records
  • Prepare and manage billing for community care programs
  • Perform reconciliations and financial reporting activities
  • Respond to client and stakeholder enquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements, policies and legislation
  • Support continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes

About You

  • Experience in accounts, finance or administration (aged care or community services highly regarded)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
  • Understanding of aged care funding programs (desirable)
