We are seeking a dedicated Houseman to join our team at The StandardX in Fitzroy, Melbourne. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Houseman, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall housekeeping operation, contributing to a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure their needs are met.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are stored properly and securely.
• Assist when needed in the cleaning of guest rooms.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; however, a background in hospitality is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
