Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle across APAC projects, with a strong focus on:
- Commercial risk management in accordance with our corporate playbook;
- Contract negotiations; and
- Project delivery support.
The role will work closely with operations (project management), legal, and external stakeholders to ensure our commercial contracts are structured, negotiated, and executed effectively. This role will suite a commercially minded contracts professional who can draft, negotiate, and finalise agreements, provide pragmatic risk advice, and keep multiple matters moving in a fast-paced setting.

Here Is a Glimpse Of What You’ll Do
- Manage end to end contract lifecycle management for the APAC region including Australia, New Zealand, and south east Asia.
- Lead the review and negotiations across a range of agreements (such as supply agreements, engineering/design services agreements, sale agreements, rental agreements).
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts using endorsed templates (e.g. master agreements for supply, rental agreements etc).
- Ensure adherence to internal contract policies, processes, and guidelines necessary to maintain secure contract documentation in the contract database
- Develop an understanding of Nextpower’s commercial risk profile, adapt content to identify and mitigate risks, and help develop strategies to minimise potential risks to the business
- Coordinate business and legal approval and obtain appropriate signatures.
- Support project teams in managing contract variations, claims, and delivery objectives;
- Assist with the continual improvement in the speed, quality, and simplicity of contract formation and management processes, without compromising compliance or quality
- Reporting of the status of current contract processes to senior or executive management
- Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages.
- Partner with legal and other senior stakeholders to align on contract strategy and risk positions
- Drive improvements in contract processes to enhance efficiency and consistency

- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- 3–5 years of experience in contracts management within the energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with external stakeholders.
- Exposure to APAC markets and multi-jurisdictional contracting.
- Experience supporting claims or dispute resolution.
