This role focuses on bringing NBN News to life through the creation of high-impact, engaging still and animated graphics. We are seeking a creative professional to elevate our visual storytelling, drive aesthetic excellence, and maintain the high-quality look and feel of our premier news broadcasts.
Day To Day You Will
- Design and deliver high-quality, creative graphics under tight live-television deadlines.
- Utilise a range of industry-standard graphics software to produce still and animated assets.
- Collaborate closely with Producers and Directors to provide innovative design advice and ideas.
- Maintain clear, precise, and professional communication with newsroom and control room teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and report any system faults promptly to the engineering team.
- Support a safe, collaborative, and positive team environment across all shifts.
What You'll Bring
- Prior experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally within a fast-paced television or media environment.
- Proficiency in core design software, including Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- A calm, confident approach with the ability to thrive under high-pressure, live broadcast conditions.
- A genuine passion for design, television, news, and current affairs.
- Strong technical literacy and a solid understanding of computer design systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
- Flexibility to work a varied roster, including essential weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts.
