Test Lead – CDR Program | Contract | Melbourne (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months + extension

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)

Rate: Up to $700/day + GST (Including Super if applicable)

Start: First week of June – ASAP

Are you an experienced Test Lead with a passion for complex, high-impact programes? We have an exciting contract opportunity to lead quality assurance across a multi-vendor Consumer Data Right (CDR) implementation for a major Australian organization.

This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of regulatory compliance, data platform modernization, and vendor integration — and it's one you can genuinely put your stamp on.

About the Role

You'll own end-to-end test strategy and coordination across data, API, functional, and automation workstreams. You'll work closely with internal teams and external vendors, reporting to senior stakeholders and driving quality outcomes across the full program.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and coordinating testing across multiple vendors and internal squads

• Developing and owning the overall test strategy, plan, and schedule

• Designing and executing data validation for a new Operational Data Store (ODS) and Snowflake pipelines

• Validating CDR-compliant APIs against ACCC/DSB regulatory standards

• Leading functional testing across CDR consumer experience and consent management flows

• Guiding automation efforts using Playwright and API automation frameworks

• Managing defects, risks, and test progress reporting to senior stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years in QA, with 5+ years as a Test Lead or Test Manager on enterprise programs

• Proven multi-vendor test coordination experience

• Strong data testing expertise — validation, reconciliation, pipeline testing

• Hands-on API testing (REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0 / FAPI)

• Experience with Playwright and/or API automation frameworks

• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

• CDR / Open Banking experience (data holder or recipient side)

• Snowflake or cloud data platform exposure

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, CDC, or API-based data integration

• Financial services or banking domain experience
