Assistant CISO / Head of Identity

About the Role

JS Careers is mandated on an executive search for a senior cyber security leader for a major financial services organisation. The role will be part of the cyber security leaership team responsible for leading the Identity Access Management (IAM) function and responsible for driving business automation, risk management and transformation.

The Role

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for setting the strategy for IAM across user access management, privileged access management, authentication and identity services for people, systems and AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IAM function across operations, transformation and product delivery.
• Chief product owner delivering IAM strategy, roadmap and delivery priorities.
• Improve automation, customer experience and risk outcomes.
• Lead product owners and cross-functional teams.
• Manage risk, controls, policy and regulatory alignment.
• Partner with senior business, technology and operations stakeholders.
• Track performance through KPIs, OKRs and continuous improvement.

About You

• Senior technology or cyber product leadership experience.
• Strong IAM, PAM, authentication or access management exposure.
• Financial services or large enterprise experience.
• Proven ability to build strategy and deliver transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Customer-focused, risk-aware and commercially practical.
