The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role sitting at the intersection of investments, communications, and regulatory governance. The Senior Investment & Communications Manager will take ownership of how the organisation's investment story is developed, refined, and delivered across regulated disclosures, member communications, and broader stakeholder channels.
Reporting into the Corporate Affairs function, you will work closely with senior investment leaders, legal, risk, and product teams to translate complex investment concepts into clear, consistent, and engaging content for a range of audiences. You will also lead a small specialist team, providing direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure high-quality outputs across all investment communications.
This role requires strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and the ability to operate confidently in a regulated environment where accuracy and clarity are critical.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the development and ongoing evolution of the organisation's investment narrative across internal and external audiences
* Own the accuracy and delivery of investment-related content across regulated and member-facing materials including disclosure documents, annual reports, statements, and communications collateral
* Translate complex investment strategy, performance, and outcomes into clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate messaging for members, employers, and stakeholders
* Partner closely with Investment, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all communications meet regulatory, governance, and quality standards
* Act as a subject matter expert for investment communications across digital platforms, presentations, member channels, and external stakeholder materials
* Support senior leaders with high-quality briefing materials and investment communications for internal and external engagement
* Lead, coach, and develop a small specialist team to deliver accurate, timely, and high-impact communications outputs
* Apply strong numerical literacy and analytical capability to interpret investment data and ensure messaging is balanced, accurate, and compliant
* Contribute to governance, risk review, and approval processes for investment-related content within a highly regulated environment
To be successful you will have
* Strong experience in investment communications, superannuation, financial services, asset management, or a closely related field
* Demonstrated ability to interpret investment information and translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
* High level of numerical literacy with confidence working with investment data, performance metrics, and reporting outputs
* Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including investment, risk, legal, and executive leadership teams
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and editorial judgement
* Experience working within regulated environments and a strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk frameworks
* Leadership capability with experience guiding, developing, or mentoring team members in a collaborative environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced setting
