Senior Contracts Administrator

Civcon is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team on on a permanent full-time basis.

This role will play a critical part in supporting the business through a period of continued growth, with a strong focus on upstream commercial experience

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, You will be responsible for the effective management of contracts from procurement to close-out, providing support for the Project Managers, Construction Manager and Commercial Manager with commercials and procurement during the project execution phase, collating project cost and financial data to develop monthly project valuations and cost reports.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment, can build strong relationships with stakeholders and candidates alike, and takes ownership of delivering practical, commercially focused people outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating of subcontracts, variations and claims through to closeout
  • Participating in the review and assisting with the negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts
  • Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Project cost reporting and forecasting
  • Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge and implementation of contracts
  • Effective time management skills
  • Provide assistance and guidance to junior Contract Administrators

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator in the civil construction industry
  • Strong understanding and experience in a range of complex contracts ideally on projects more than $30m
  • A highly analytical approach and strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of all construction contracts including management of claims
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Ability to develop positive Alliance, Client and Subcontractor relationships
