Ronald McDonald House Sydney is looking for a talented and creative Visual & Content Designer to help bring our brand, campaigns and family stories to life.

This is not your typical in-house design role. We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and passionate about visual storytelling — someone who can create engaging content, capture meaningful moments and help elevate how our organisation shows up across digital, fundraising and brand campaigns.

This role would suit someone with strong creative skills who enjoys variety and flexibility — including freelancers looking for consistent part-time work with purpose.

About the Role

This is a hands-on creative role focused on:

  • Graphic design
  • Photography
  • Video and reels creation
  • Social media content
  • Brand management and storytelling

You will play a key role in creating engaging visual content across fundraising campaigns, social media, events and supporter communications.

The role is based primarily onsite at Ronald McDonald House Randwick to help capture real moments and authentic storytelling with families, supporters and events.

Preferred working days are Tuesday–Thursday, however flexibility is available. There may also be periods where additional days are required during major campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design creative assets for fundraising campaigns, events and digital communications
  • Capture and edit photography and video content across the House and events
  • Create engaging short-form video content including reels and social videos
  • Support social media content creation and scheduling
  • Help manage social media comments, messages and community engagement
  • Manage and maintain brand consistency across all creative output
  • Develop templates and submit creative to Ronald McDonald House Global for branding approvals where required
  • Manage and organise the organisation’s photo and content library
  • Coordinate external production crews for larger video and photography projects
  • Support website updates and provide back-up support for Funraisin campaign pages
  • Create internal communications materials including House newsletters and digital foyer slides

About You

You are:

  • Highly creative and visually driven
  • Passionate about storytelling and content creation
  • Confident behind both the camera and the computer
  • Someone who notices the little moments worth capturing
  • Comfortable working across design, video, photography and social content

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
  • Photography and video editing
  • Social media content creation
  • Reels and short-form content
  • Brand management and creative consistency

Experience in the not-for-profit sector is welcome but not essential.
