The Role

This hands-on operational safety role will partner closely with site leadership to drive engagement, strengthen safety culture, and support ongoing safety improvement initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys being visible on the floor, building relationships, and influencing positive safety behaviours across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to support day-to-day safety activities across site

• Lead and support investigations, risk assessments, audits, and critical risk reviews

• Drive engagement and continuous improvement across site safety initiatives and committees

• Support regulatory compliance, contractor management, and operational governance activities

• Maintain strong floor presence while coaching and influencing teams across the operation

Skills & Experience

• Proven safety experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, or high-risk operational environments

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability

• Hands-on and visible leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority

• Experience across high-risk environments including manual handling, chemicals, plant safety, confined space, and contractor management

• Cert IV or Diploma in WHS highly regarded alongside ICAM or incident investigation exposure
