Operations Manager - Civil and Infrastructure

We’re working with a well-established contractor delivering infrastructure and maintenance works across SEQ, currently looking to bring on an Operations Manager to take ownership of delivery across multiple concurrent projects.

This is a key role sitting at the centre of the business, working across project teams, field crews and internal functions to ensure everything is aligned and running efficiently day to day. It’s a fast-paced environment with multiple moving parts, and the ability to adapt quickly is critical.

You’ll be responsible for workforce planning, resource allocation, and overall project performance, supporting teams to keep work on track while stepping in to resolve issues when required. The role is primarily office-based, working closely with leadership and operational teams, with site interaction as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring program, cost, and quality targets are achieved
• Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and allocation across crews, plant, and equipment
• Coordinate across Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and field teams to ensure alignment
• Monitor performance and proactively resolve risks, delays, and resourcing challenges
• Ensure compliance across WHS requirements while driving consistent operational processes

About You

• Experience in an Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar role
• Strong contractor-side background (civil, water infrastructure, construction)
• Experience managing multiple projects, crews, and shared resources
• Strong understanding of project delivery, scheduling, and site operations
• Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced, changing environments
• Practical, solutions-focused, and confident operating across both detail and big picture
