Government Lawyer or Associate

Due to a significant influx of work, there is an opportunity to join a dynamic team providing strategic, high-level advice across a broad range of complex matters nationwide, all within a culture that values excellence, integrity, and client service.

The Role

Working closely with experienced Partners, you will play a key role in delivering cohesive, commercially focused and legally robust advice across a diverse range of matters. Your work will include:

• Advising Commonwealth Government agencies on administrative law, decision-making processes, and public law matters
• Representing clients in Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) proceedings, including merits reviews and conferences
• Assisting with litigation across the Federal Court, including interlocutory and substantive hearings
• Managing disputes through alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and negotiations
• Providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice within government frameworks and accountability requirements

Who Should Apply?

The firm is ideally seeking an Associate with 3+ years PAE in government or regulatory matters.

However, given the volume of work, applications are welcomed from lawyers with 2+ years experience through to Senior Associate level. If the work mix interests you, we would love to hear from you.
