We’re looking for an Eligibility Officer to assess psychological injury workers compensation claims under the NSW scheme, ensuring decisions are timely, evidence-based, and aligned with legislation.

What You’ll Do

• Assess psychological injury claims in line with NSW Workers Compensation legislation and scheme requirements.
• Make timely, fair, and evidence-based eligibility and entitlement decisions.
• Support injured workers with empathy and professionalism through respectful, trauma-informed communication.
• Gather and review medical, employment, and factual information to support sound decision-making.
• Work closely with employers, insurers, treating practitioners, legal representatives, and icare stakeholders.
• Explain complex legislative decisions clearly and confidently to customers and stakeholders.
• Apply new and evolving psychological injury legislation in day-to-day claims management.
• Escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately while maintaining strong file quality and documentation standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Have experience in Workers Compensation, personal injury claims, or a related customer-focused environment.
• Can communicate clearly, confidently, and empathetically with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgement.
• Are adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a changing environment.
• Enjoy working collaboratively while managing your own priorities independently.
