We are seeking a commercially astute and market-facing Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping growth strategy, deepening client engagement, and securing high-value opportunities across priority markets.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Business Development Leader, this role sits at the intersection of strategy, client engagement, and commercial execution. You will be responsible for identifying and advancing strategic pursuits, positioning integrated service offerings, and strengthening the organization’s presence across both established and emerging markets.
The successful candidate will bring a sophisticated understanding of market dynamics, the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, and a track record of converting opportunity into sustainable revenue growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Originate and convert targeted business development opportunities aligned to regional growth priorities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans across key clients and market segments
- Establish and maintain trusted, senior-level client relationships
- Lead complex pursuits end-to-end, including positioning, negotiation, and commercial closure
- Collaborate across technical and operational teams to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions
- Provide market insight to inform competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and service development
- Contribute to revenue growth, margin enhancement, and overall commercial performance
Candidate Profile
You are a commercially driven business development professional with a strong track record of success in energy, resources, or industrial services environments. You bring:
- Demonstrated success in originating and closing complex, high-value opportunities
- Strong commercial judgement across pricing, negotiation, and contract structuring
- Credibility operating with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
- A strategic mindset, underpinned by a disciplined approach to execution
- The ability to navigate technical environments and articulate value-led solutions
- Highly developed interpersonal, influencing, and communication capabilities
A relevant tertiary qualification (engineering, business, or related discipline) is preferred, alongside substantial experience in client-facing, commercially accountable roles.
