Cost Controller

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to support financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement oversight within a large industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP CO, Fieldglass, Coupa, and advanced Excel reporting, preferably within Oil & Gas, Mining, or heavy industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor cost centers and internal orders using SAP CO (Controlling)
• Oversee contractor timesheets and service entries in Fieldglass
• Manage procurement and purchase-to-pay workflows in Coupa
• Perform reconciliations between SAP, Coupa, and Fieldglass systems
• Conduct monthly Plan vs Actual variance analysis and identify cost overruns
• Support forecasting activities including Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Assist with cash flow forecasting for maintenance and shutdown activities
• Validate contractor invoices and ensure compliance with agreed rate cards
• Prepare accruals and support month-end financial close processes
• Generate spend reports, dashboards, and audit documentation
• Maintain accurate WBS structures and cost center hierarchies

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Cost Controlling or Project Cost Management
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CO
• Working knowledge of Fieldglass and Coupa
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Data Modeling
• Experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to challenge budget variances and engage with project stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

• Business Analysis experience
• Exposure to plant maintenance or shutdown financial operations
