Senior Associate/Special Counsel
W3Global
Our practice includes commercial dispute resolution and litigation, employment law, corporate and commercial work, property and commercial leasing, and succession planning.
Our transactional and advisory work in property, commercial and succession planning is growing rapidly, supported by talented junior lawyers and an established pipeline of referrals from accountants, real estate agents and other professionals.
We are looking for a senior lawyer on a pathway to partnership to help lead and grow these practices.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of one or more of these growth practices and drive continued development.
The role is genuinely flexible: we will shape it around your existing depth of expertise and support you to upskill in adjacent areas, working alongside experienced senior practitioners and capable juniors.
This Role Is Well-suited To
- A senior associate or special counsel at a larger firm who wants to accelerate progression without queuing behind a long internal pipeline; or
- A senior lawyer at a smaller firm seeking the resources, infrastructure, and dedicated business development, administrative and finance support that a mid-sized firm can offer.
What We Require
- Minimum 8 years post-admission experience in one or more of: commercial transactional and advisory, property, or estate planning and succession.
- Demonstrable experience mentoring, supervising and leading junior solicitors.
- Active engagement in business development - promoting the firm as a whole as well as your own practice areas.
- Enthusiasm to participate in firm operational decision-making and contribute to the direction of the firm.
- Genuine interest in upskilling across adjacent practice areas where appropriate, to support and expand the firm's full commercial service offerings.
What We Offer
- A highly competitive package commensurate with experience and ambition.
- A clear, defined pathway to partnership.
- Flexibility in how the role is shaped, including practice mix and support arrangements.
- Established referral networks and a real client base to build on.
- Operational support that lets you focus on legal work and business development rather than administration.
- A team known for clear, strategic, user-friendly advice - and direct internal communication.
