We are currently partnering with a leading organisation operating within the energy and utilities sector to engage an experienced Project Manager for an initial 12-month contract.

This organisation plays a critical role in delivering essential infrastructure services to millions of customers and is currently undergoing a significant phase of transformation across technology.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting several new projects spanning IT infrastructure and business applications. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong stakeholder management and the ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end delivery of infrastructure and application projects
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, risks, and dependencies
  • Engage and manage senior stakeholders across business and technology teams
  • Coordinate vendors and delivery partners to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Drive governance, reporting, and adherence to delivery frameworks
  • Ensure alignment with organisational priorities and regulatory requirements

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering both infrastructure and application initiatives
  • Strong understanding of IT environments, including cloud, networks, and enterprise systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations (utilities or infrastructure-aligned environments highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Familiarity with formal project delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall)

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments
  • Experience working in regulated organisations
  • Vendor and third-party management experience
