INSOLVENCY AND RESTRUCTURING SUPERVISOR / ASSISTANT MANAGER – BRISBANE

About the Opportunity

We’re growing and looking for an amazing Supervisor / Assistant Manager in Brisbane to join our fantastic team! Working with our Principals, Senior Director and Managers, you’ll be able to take ownership of assignments, and collaborate on larger and more complex matters, delivering work with excellence, integrity and a strong work ethic.

This is a full time role based in Brisbane. We embrace hybrid work as the best of both worlds. Most of us enjoy being in the office with our colleagues about 2-3 days a week, and working from home about 2-3 days a week.

  • Work on interesting projects, with a variety of matters & types of matters – corporate, personal, liquidations, voluntary administrations, bankruptcies, small business restructurings, receiverships, agent for mortgagee in possession appointments, Part X’s, advisory etc of various sizes
  • Ownership and day-to-day management of smaller to medium appointments, supervising, coaching, reviewing and delivering the requirements for that insolvency or restructuring matter, including investigations and reports to creditors, and keeping the Manager, Senior Director and/or Principal on the matter updated
  • Active involvement in larger and/or more complex matters, working directly with a Manager, Senior Director and/or Principal, including the conduct of more complex investigations and financial analysis, assistance with public examinations, recoveries and litigation etc.
  • Good proactive management of your workflow and priorities across multiple client matters, and guiding more junior team members with managing their workflow priorities and deadlines
  • Communicating directly with external stakeholders to continue to develop great verbal communication, always backed with the support of a Manager, Senior Director or Principal as needed

Required for this position

  • Approximately 3 to 5+ years of professional insolvency and/or restructuring experience in Australia
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting or a related area
  • Commenced or completed your CA / CPA
  • Strong insolvency technical knowledge
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm about your work
  • The ability to learn quickly

The following are highly regarded but are not compulsory requirements:

  • Experience with personal insolvency bankruptcy matters and/or restructuring matters, as long as you’re willing to learn to conduct these
  • An interest to complete or completion of the ARITA Advanced Certification
  • Proficiency with Insol6
