THE ROLE
The Project Adviser role sits within the HR Operations, Campaign, Engagement and Strategy team and supports the strategic attraction and recruitment of the department front line workforce, specifically child protection.Recruitment to child protection is managed through set intake dates. This role is part of the small team responsible for strategic advertising, eligibility screening including psychometric and qualifications, provision of best practice candidate care and candidate application management. The role deals with high volume candidate numbers and works to tight timelines.
In addition, the Project Adviser role will support a range of strategic projects and priorities to drive efficiencies and reform across end-to-end attraction and volume recruitment to provide for an effective, inclusive, fair recruitment process. Key to the delivery of the work is to ensure that processes provide for a responsive people and culture service to manage aspects of the recruitment life cycle.
Accountabilities Include
Key accountabilities in this role include:
- Supporting and leading the design, development and implementation of actions and activities associated with the People & Culture, People Strategy as they relate to recruitment and attraction.
- Leading the candidate screening process covering working rights and qualifications, meeting deadlines and delivering high quality results.
- Providing a high level of candidate care across stages of the recruitment process and seeking out opportunities to drive efficiencies across the team and broader HR Operations unit.
- Partnering with other HR Operations teams, internal and external stakeholders to develop, deliver and evaluate strategic attraction strategies including (but not limited to) advertising, passive candidate search using the most recent best practice methodologies.
- Maintaining an understanding of recruitment and attraction issues impacting the department's workforce and investigate critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
- Have experience with contemporary candidate attraction and passive candidate search methods, preferably for social work or front-line service delivery roles.
- Demonstrated expertise with recruitment platform Springboard, or similar. Experience with MS office including excel and power automate would be advantageous.
- Have Experience with volume recruitment or recruitment intakes (up to 200 roles and 800 candidates), candidate screening including qualification framework assessments, working rights, psychometric assessments and provision of candidate care.
- Understanding of child protection workforce in Victoria including qualification requirements.
- A tertiary qualification in human resources, learning and organisational development, business management or a related field will be well regarded.
