This position is available on a fixed-term and permanent full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight). Fixed-term appointments may be extended and/or lead to permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager to join the Public Health team in Geraldton, Midwest

To be successful, you will have...
- Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Significant public health nursing experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of comprehensive public health programs including communicable and non communicable disease control.
- Highly developed leadership, management and communication skills, including liaising and negotiating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact onemployment, people management and service delivery.
Position Profile
Provides leadership and guidance to the Midwest Public Health nursing team. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders to coordinate regional screening and control programs for diseases of public health importance and participates in follow up on notifiable and infectious diseases including outbreak control programs. Provides public health support and expertise to WACHS staff and other professionals and stakeholders in the community. Supports and participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health strategies to promote, protect and improve health in regional WA.

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its population concentrated along the coast.
