Project
The Tangkam BESS Project located approximately 30km northwest of Toowoomba, Queensland, refers a new 100MW 2hr (200MWh) BESS facility that will connect to the grid via an existing Powerlink substation.
Once operational, the Tangkam BESS will store surplus daytime energy for use during evening peak demand periods. The facility also supports grid network stability which replaces the inertia traditionally supported by coal and gas power plants.
