This role focuses on regular rail maintenance activities, not major track refurbishments or rerail projects.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Track Maintenance Planner to support rail maintenance operations across track maintenance, tamping and workshop servicing activities.

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining maintenance schedules aligned to labour, equipment and supply chain requirements, ensuring work is execution ready and backlog health is maintained.

This role suits someone who understands maintenance planning in operational environments and can manage competing priorities while maintaining strong work management discipline.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining maintenance schedules
  • Supporting forward planning and backlog management activities
  • Aligning schedules with labour, equipment and supply chain requirements
  • Supporting work management and defect management processes
  • Monitoring weekly budgets and supporting monthly accrual activities
  • Managing PRs, POs and SES activities aligned to procurement processes
  • Working closely with maintenance and operational stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in maintenance planning or scheduling
  • Exposure to rail, track maintenance or heavy industry environments
  • Strong understanding of work management processes
  • Experience managing maintenance backlogs and forward planning
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
  • SAP experience highly regarded
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
