About the Roles

Our clients leading engineering team is actively growing their Brisbane engineering team and currently hiring across five positions:

• Principal Civil Engineer (8+ years, RPEQ, team leadership)
• Senior Civil Engineer (10+ years, 12D/AutoCAD, land development)
• Senior Structural Engineer (8+ years, CPEng/RPEQ, residential/commercial/industrial)
• Senior Flood Engineer (5+ years, TUFLOW/RORB/HEC-RAS, flood studies and floodplain management)
• Engineering Design Manager (10+ years, RPEQ, team management, design operations)

Whether you specialise in civil design, structural engineering, flood modelling or design leadership, there is a role here that fits your experience. All positions are based in Orion's Brisbane CBD office.

What You'll Do

• Lead civil or structural design delivery across residential subdivisions, commercial developments and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and coordinate documentation using 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC, TUFLOW, RORB/WBNM and HEC-RAS (depending on discipline)
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships including liaison with consultants, councils and authorities
• Mentor and support junior engineers and drafters, driving team capability and career development
• Oversee project budgets, invoicing, fee proposals and commercial performance
• Contribute to business development, engineering standards and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• RPEQ accreditation (or CPEng for structural roles), or actively working towards registration
• 5 to 10+ years experience depending on the role, within land development, urban infrastructure, structural design or flood engineering
• Proficiency in relevant software (12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS as applicable)
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and local government design principles
• Excellent communication, time management and project coordination skills
• Class C Driver's Licence and White Card (for structural role)
