Role Description/Criteria

St Mary’s Altona is a vibrant, welcoming school with a small community feel.

We are seeking an equally vibrant and welcoming person to join our administration team.The role will be a Category B Level 2 position under the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.

This position will be 5 days per week, commencing on 15th June 2026 or by negotiation.The successful applicant will be:

  • A warm, friendly and approachable first point of contact for parents and visitors
  • Able to work collaboratively with the school bursar and leadership team
  • Adaptable and flexible according to the varying demands of the role
  • Familiar with or open to learning our administration systems (ICON and Enquiry Tracker)
  • An exceptional communicator (written and verbal)
  • Familiar with Google Drive and Microsoft applications
  • Committed to upholding utmost confidentiality
  • Resourceful and able to work under minimal direction and a high number of interruptions, as is the nature of working in schools
  • Familiar with office environments (primary schools would be advantageous)
