The Position

We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support across the organisation, partnering with leaders to drive capability, culture and high‑quality people outcomes
In this role, you will influence organisational culture, deliver P&C initiatives, and support Council’s Workforce Management Plan. Your work will include offering expert HR advice, managing ER/IR matters, leading or contributing to change initiatives, supporting business units through organisational reform, and collaborating with key internal stakeholders including Employee Services & Payroll, WHS, Injury Management and senior leaders

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources and/or extensive Human Resource experience.
- Demonstrated capability across at least two key domains, such as workplace planning, performance management, IR/union consultation, recruitment, L&D, policy, change management, or diversity and inclusion.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, employees, unions and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing HR investigations, complex ER/IR matters and providing high‑quality advice.
- Sound judgement, confidentiality, problem‑solving skills and effective time management.
- Competence in HR systems including HRIS, eRecruitment and payroll.
Salary & Employment Conditions
- Permanent full-time position, working 70 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 7, with a salary range of $104,720 p.a. with progression to $115,592 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, and performance progression up to $122,668 p.a., plus superannuation
