Green Light are looking for an experienced NOC Manager with a strong networking operations background to lead a high-performing 24x7 Network Operations Centre supporting a large portfolio of enterprise and government clients. This is a Sydney-based, fully onsite leadership role, requiring a hands-on operator who can balance operational excellence with strategic transformation.

While the role is not shift-based, the successful candidate will be expected to provide hands-on support for critical out-of-hours activities, including P1 incidents, escalations and high-risk network changes.

You will play a key role in driving service excellence, operational maturity and continuous improvement, while building strong relationships across internal teams, customers and vendors.

This role does require an active AGSVA baseline clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Network Operations leadership role, such as Network Team Leader, Network Operations Lead or NOC Manager
  • Strong background in large-scale enterprise networking operations
  • Deep technical understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing and switching
  • Experience working with technologies such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto and Fortinet
  • Strong knowledge of network monitoring, observability, automation and service assurance tools
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks, including incident, change, problem and event management
  • Experience operating within cloud and hybrid environments, including AWS, Azure and VMware
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing 24x7 operational teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across customers, vendors and internal delivery teams
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, particularly during critical incidents
  • Must hold an active Baseline or NV1 security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a 24x7 Network Operations Centre, ensuring high-quality service delivery across multiple enterprise and government customers
  • Oversee operational functions including incident, event, change, problem and request management, ensuring SLA and customer outcomes are consistently met
  • Act as an escalation point for major incidents (P1) and provide hands-on leadership during critical events and high-risk changes
  • Take ownership of after-hours support requirements when required for priority incidents and key activities
  • Drive a proactive operational mindset, moving beyond reactive support to predictive and preventative operations
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, tooling uplift, observability and service optimisation
  • Champion DevOps culture, innovation and operational transformation across network operations
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to customers, account teams and senior leadership
  • Lead network modernisation initiatives, improving operational maturity and enhancing overall service delivery outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and customer experience across supported environments
