Location : Sydney, Australia

We are looking to hire a Front Office Application Support Analyst to provide frontline production support for trading and front office applications across multiple asset classes, supporting business critical trading activities and ensuring platform stability and availability. This role is the key focal point for the customer/client /associate experience, restoring complex/major production incidents under tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs), pursuing root cause and problem resolution follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Front Office production/application support for trading applications across asset classes like FX, Interest Rates, Credit, Commodities, Fixed Income products.

• Work closely with traders and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve application, trade flow, and production issues.

• Monitor trading platforms, application health, batch processes, and operational workflows to ensure system stability and availability.

• Manage Incidents and Problem management.

• Perform start of day, End of Day and start of week checks.

• Analyze application logs, activity logs, and batch logs using Python scripting and SQL queries for troubleshooting and issue investigation.

• Identify opportunities for automation and automate manual tasks being performed by team.

Key Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of relevant Front Office Trading Application Support experience within investment banking or financial services environments.

• Good understanding of financial markets and ideally more than 1 asset class such as FX, Interest Rates, Commodities or other trading products.

• Hands on experience on SQL queries and commands.

• Python scripting knowledge, particularly for log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.

• Experience in Monitoring tools e.g. ITRS Geneos, Splunk, Elastic, Dynatrace etc

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced Front Office support environment with direct business user interaction.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Candidates with exposure or interest in AI technologies, automation, and modern platforms

Good to Have Skills

• Knowledge of scripting or automation for operational support improvements.

• Tableau, Ansible, TOSCA, or related tooling exposure is a plus.

• CFA Certification will be a plus
