Data Modeller (SAP Hana)

Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government Department to find Data Modellers for initial 9 Month contracts.

Roles Available: 1 x Data Modeller and 2 x Principal Data Modellers

Contract Lengths: 9 Months Initial with potential of extension

Client: Queensland Government Department

Rates: Open Market Rates

Location: Brisbane CBD

WFH flex: Working from home applicable after the initial 3 months

Key Duties:

• Design and implement ELT (Extract, Load and Transform) upon SAP HANA and XSA.
• Develop comprehensive data models using CDS infrastructure.
• Develop and improve data cleansing, standardisation, and data matching functions using SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI) and Smart Data Quality (SDQ).
• Design and implement Slow Changing Dimensions (SCD) in ELT.
• Monitor ELT and modelling data flows, diagnose defects, resolve issues promptly, and perform data hotfix when needed.
• Support integration testing, user testing, incident resolution, and business inquiries.
• Maintain and improve existing ELT and data modelling.

The ideal candidates for these roles will possess:

• Development skills using HANA 2.0 CDS, including calculation view, table function, procedures, etc.
• Seasoned skills of building ELT using SAP HANA Smart Data Integrator (SDI) and SAP HANA Smart Data Quality (SDQ), and experience of implementing SCD Type 2 using SDI/SDQ functionalities.
• Experience in ELT maintenance, improvement, and operation.
• Project experience in designing, building, and optimising ELT and data models in SAP HANA by applying constraint and other techniques.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience to support comprehensive modelling.
• Security design in SAP HANA and XSA HDI container.
• Attention to detail, precision, and able to troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Professional presentation and communication skills, as well as the capability to deliver technical documentation.

• SAP Certificates
• SAP S4HANA Embedded Analytics
• Microsoft Synapse Analytics
• Azure Databricks
• Integration with reporting tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, etc.
