We've just partnered with an exciting challenger brand in the climate data space — and they're looking for their next partnerships hire.

Location: Sydney or Melbourne preferred | Remote-first | $130,000–$160,000 base + bonus + equity | Flex for the right candidate

Here's what's exciting about this one.

This is a Series A, VC-backed climate data company that has already landed one of the world's most recognisable financial data platforms as a distribution partner. That deal took six months to close and validated everything — now they're scaling the model globally, and they need a commercially sharp partnerships seller to help them do it. You'll be shaping the development of the playbook.

The product?

Climate-related financial risk data. Mandatory disclosure laws are rolling out across APAC, Europe, UK, India, and Canada — this is compliance infrastructure, not a sustainability passion project. The demand is real and it's accelerating.

What you'll own

  • Building and closing new distribution partnerships with financial data platforms, asset managers, and financial institutions
  • Running the full commercial cycle — outreach, negotiation, commercial structuring, contract close
  • Managing integration onboarding alongside the engineering team post-signature
  • Expanding signed partnerships through a land-and-expand model
  • Owning a defined geographic segment (India, Europe/UK, or broader APAC — TBC)
  • Contributing to go-to-market strategy with the Head of Sales and CEO

Who we're looking for

Must-haves

  • 3–8 years of closing experience in SaaS, fintech, or data
  • Partnerships, channel, or distribution sales background — this is not a direct-to-end-user role
  • Comfortable running long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (6–12 months is the norm here)
  • Technically confident — can speak credibly to APIs and data integrations without being the engineer
  • Startup-ready — you build structure, you don't wait for it

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in financial services, investment management, or ESG/climate data
  • Experience at a data provider — FactSet, Bloomberg, MSCI, Morningstar, Refinitiv or similar
  • Track record structuring white-label or revenue-share commercial deals
  • Comfortable with occasional regional travel (Singapore, Europe — a few times a year with notice)
