Banking/Finance Lawyer

We are working with a top-tier Australian law firm based in Sydney for a Lawyer to join their Banking/Finance team.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a Banking & Finance practice advising a broad range of domestic and international clients, including banks, financial institutions, corporates, private equity and hedge funds, property developers, fund managers and institutional investors. The role involves advising on the legal and commercial risks associated with a wide variety of financing transactions across both borrower and lender sides.

The position covers the full spectrum of banking and finance work, including corporate and property finance, capital raisings, project finance, structured finance, and solvent and insolvent restructurings and recapitalisations.

Essential Criteria

• 1-2 years’ PQE;
• Banking/finance background;
• Strong academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Strong drafting skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
