Title: Business Analyst-Technical

Location: Sydney, Australia

Senior Technical Business Analyst is integral to the IT Program Delivery Team, playing a pivotal role in understanding business processes and data needs, and translating them into clear, implementable technical specifications and solution designs that align with strategic initiatives and architectural guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Work with a broad range of business and technology stakeholders to analyse and solve complex problems that span multiple functional areas, systems, and processes.

Challenge requirements and business processes to ensure outcomes that integrate relevant organisational strategies and deliver optimal technical and business results.

Translate business requirements into Technical Implementation Specifications (TIS) and associated technical artefacts that give developers a single source of truth for what to build.

Initiate, own, coordinate and drive outcomes from workshops and technical design sessions to ensure project success.

Produce high quality and comprehensive documents such as epics, user stories, technical specifications, and diagrams that enhance our business systems and enable confident implementation.

Be a key contributor to the BA Practice, actively sharing knowledge and skills with other Business Analysts and Technical Business Analysts.

Qualification & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Information Management or a related discipline.

8+ years’ experience in a Technical Business Analyst role, preferably within complex enterprise environments.

Demonstrated experience across the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements, design, build, test and implementation.

Strong experience in process mapping, technical specification writing and production of technical diagrams (e.g. swimlanes, ERDs, sequence diagrams, integration specs).Experience with data, analytics and digital/customer experience initiatives (e.g. websites or mobile apps) is highly regarded.
