Senior Project Manager

Are you a highly capable Senior Project Manager with the maturity and judgement to deliver complex capital projects within live operational environments? This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded project delivery team overseeing significant infrastructure and capital works programs within a sophisticated Public Private Partnership (PPP) setting, working across sectors including defence, commercial, education and retail.

This role requires an experienced operator, someone comfortable taking ownership of multiple projects, navigating complexity, and managing delivery from concept through to completion with minimal supervision. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of major capital projects including new builds, major refurbishments and infrastructure upgrades, operating within established governance frameworks and engaging across a broad stakeholder group including operators, consultants, contractors and government representatives. The role suits a senior-level practitioner who is commercially astute, highly organised and confident driving outcomes across technically complex projects while balancing operational sensitivities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex capital works projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery against programme, budget and quality objectives
• Lead design development, procurement and construction delivery phases across multiple concurrent projects
• Manage consultant and contractor performance to ensure project outcomes are achieved
• Prepare and administer key project documentation including scopes, tenders, contracts and technical documentation
• Navigate stakeholder engagement across live and operational environments with professionalism and sound judgement
• Provide high-quality project reporting to senior leadership, governance groups and steering committees
• Operate confidently within structured project governance frameworks and reporting protocols
• Identify project risks early and proactively manage mitigation strategies

About You

• A qualification in engineering, construction, project management or related discipline
• 6+ years of end to end project delivery experience across construction, infrastructure or capital works
• Exposure to client side, consultancy and/or contractor environments
• Familiarity with PPP structures and governance processes (PCG, PWG, Board reporting or similar)
• Well developed stakeholder management capability across senior and operational audiences
• Strong commercial judgement, planning discipline and reporting capability
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
