Solutions Engineer - Enterprise ICT Architecture

Location: Canberra, ACT

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Security Clearance: NV1 Required

We are seeking experienced Solutions Engineers to support large-scale enterprise ICT programs within a highly secure and complex technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for senior engineering professionals with strong architecture, cloud, and systems integration experience to contribute to strategic technology initiatives and enterprise transformation projects.

About the Role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, review, support, and continuous improvement of complex ICT solutions across enterprise environments.

You will work collaboratively with architecture, engineering, strategy, and project delivery teams to ensure solutions align with organisational standards, capability requirements, and security frameworks.

The role requires strong hands-on engineering capability, sound technical judgement, and the ability to operate as a senior subject matter expert within highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to support strategic ICT initiatives and enterprise architecture alignment
• Design and evaluate complex ICT solutions across enterprise environments
• Develop technical solution documentation and architecture artefacts
• Present solution options, engineering decisions, and technical recommendations to governance stakeholders
• Support engineering assurance and project delivery activities
• Contribute to cloud transformation and legacy modernisation initiatives
• Work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver fit-for-purpose technology outcomes

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Strong experience designing complex ICT solutions within large enterprise or secure environments
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks including TOGAF and related methodologies
• Experience with architecture modelling, governance, and engineering assurance processes
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, SaaS, and PaaS platforms
• Experience architecting and integrating multi-cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of cyber security, identity management, and secure ICT architecture principles
• Experience modernising and migrating legacy applications to cloud-based solutions
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies and secure integrations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver outcomes in complex environments

Desirable

• Cloud or architecture certifications
• Experience working within highly regulated environments
• Experience supporting governance, assurance, or enterprise transformation programs

Clearance Requirements

• Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory
