Environmental & Regulatory Advisor – Oil & Gas Projects

We are seeking an experienced Environmental & Regulatory Advisor to support major oil & gas projects across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases. Acting as the key point of contact for all environmental and regulatory matters, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental approvals, regulatory obligations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee environmental and regulatory programs across project delivery phases

• Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP), regulatory compliance plans and project environmental strategies

• Manage environmental permits, licences and approvals, ensuring timely submissions and ongoing compliance

• Interface with engineering, construction and EPC contractor teams to ensure environmental requirements are integrated into project execution activities

• Review and monitor contractor environmental plans including waste management, spill response and environmental performance documentation

• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance assessments across project work fronts

• Investigate and report environmental incidents, non conformances and compliance initiatives

• Monitor environmental performance and provide stewardship reporting to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies

• Support environmental risk mitigation initiatives and implementation of best practice environmental management processes

• Coordinate environmental training, awareness programs and engagement activities across project teams and contractors

• Provide ongoing environmental and regulatory advice to project leadership and operational teams

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in an Environmental or Regulatory Advisor position within oil & gas, mining, infrastructure or major construction projects

• Strong understanding of environmental compliance, approvals and regulatory frameworks

• Experience working with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams

• Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering, Natural Resource Management or a related discipline

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced project environment

• Experience with environmental monitoring, reporting and audit activities highly regarded
