Rates: $600/day + Super

Your new role

The Scrum Master in collaboration with the Product Owners/Product Managers is responsible for helping self-organising, self-managing delivery teams achieve their goals using an Agile Mindset along with a delivery framework like Scrum or Methodology like Kanban.

Accountabilities

  • Workshopping Squad Level Ways of Working (WoWs) (which are in line with wider Program WoWs)
  • Ensure compliance to WoWs at all levels
  • Scheduling & Facilitating the Squad Ceremonies
  • Recording Squad Actions and Following up on them
  • Work with the Squad to ensure work is broken down & represented at proper levels in Jira.
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure we have a healthy backlog (at least 2 sprints) with clear priorities for the Squad
  • Creating, Populating, Starting, Modifying and Completing Sprints
  • Ensuring progress towards Sprint Goals
  • Creating and maintaining relevant metrics dashboards in Jira
  • Producing and monitoring Sprint & Release Burn down charts via Jira - ideally, they will have intermediate to high skill level in tooling, using Confluence, Jira Roadmaps, etc.

  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify solutions to challenging issues.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders and users in the provision of advice, guidance of decision-making and acquisition of cooperation in the delivery of services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and deliver engaging and informative presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Project management skills with a record of successfully coordinating and/or supporting small-to-medium projects through to completion in accordance with agreed standards, timeframes and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise some independence, judgement and initiative within the scope of the role.
  • Some understanding and knowledge of the university sector and/or working in a complex environment within a Matrix structure
