CBR Recruitment is working with a high-profile government statutory authority to identify an outstanding Communication Manager to support the Head of Communications in developing and distributing multi-channel communications content to raise awareness of programs and investment outcomes to the organisations’ key stakeholders. This position is offered at the EL1/EL2 contract equivalent (according to experience) and has a strong focus on developing national and regional communication strategies, creating and developing high quality content, and reporting on the effectiveness of communications outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing targeted national and regional communication strategies
• Creating, editing, and coordinating content for a range of media platforms including media releases, articles, social media and newsletters
• Building productive working relationships with internal teams, research partners, service providers, and stakeholders
• Monitoring and reporting on communication impact
• Providing strategic communications support for relevant initiatives and reports
• Identifying and assessing reputational management issues and developing communication responses
• Providing strategic communications advice and support for corporate events
• Managing external communications service providers’ contracts

What You Will Need

• Outstanding multi-channel written communication skills
• Strong analytics and interpretation skills working across platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to use interpersonal communication skills to collaborate and work with a team
• Capability to work flexibly in a complex and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism or similar
• A connection to or experience in the agriculture industry is desirable
