Social Media Manager
Connecting Plots Group
Social Media Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE
We're seeking a Social Media Manager who will take ownership of content planning, concepting, creation and execution across social and digital platforms. This role blends creativity with execution — managing calendars, concepting, repurposing assets, and ensuring content is engaging and fit-for-channel.
Working closely with the Social Lead, this role requires someone who is highly responsive, adaptable, and ready to action a broad range of requests on any given day — from concepting and editing through to reporting and dispatching.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
– Concept, produce, shoot and edit lo-fi content across all social channels
– Write hooks, scripts and captions designed to stop scrolling and drive engagement
– Develop and manage monthly content calendars, including flighting plans, scheduling and publishing
– Concept and execute organic social posts end-to-end — from initial idea through to final edit
– Edit organic social content across platforms including Photoshop, CapCut and Premiere Pro
– Write organic social copy that is platform-native, on-brand and built to perform
– Compile and interpret organic social reports, translating data into actionable insights
– Update and adapt existing paid social assets using Figma and Premiere Pro
– Monitor content performance and iterate quickly, using insights to refine creative output and double down on what's working
– Repurpose campaign material and assets in content libraries for organic and paid social / digital formats
– Build and maintain strong client relationships — acting as a responsive, trusted go-to for the client's social channels
– Collaborate with creative, production, influencer and PR teams to ensure content aligns with broader brand and campaign objectives
– Stay ahead of platform trends, formats and creator culture, identifying opportunities to turn cultural moments into content for brands
– Support the Social Lead by actioning a wide range of briefs and requests — including concepting, editing, reporting, copywriting and dispatching — often across multiple workstreams simultaneously
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
– 3+ years' experience in social content creation at agencies or brands
– Confident shooting and editing for social media content
– Proficient in CapCut and Premiere Pro for video editing
– Experience with Photoshop for image editing and asset creation
– Working knowledge of Figma for adapting and updating paid social assets
– Ability to adapt campaign assets for social/digital formats
– Proven ability to write compelling organic social copy and captions
– Experience building monthly flighting plans and managing content calendars
– Comfortable compiling and presenting social performance reports
– Intimate knowledge of social media platforms, content formats and trends
– Highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative — able to manage multiple requests and pivot quickly
– Ability to storyboard for video creation when needed (using existing stills / messaging)
– Shooting experience beyond an iPhone — stills camera, motion and drone operation is a nice to have
CULTURE
– Live and breathe the values that define the Connecting Plots culture
– Have a genuine hunger to do things differently and champion a better way for advertising to achieve its goals
– Inject energy and passion into every challenge every day, leading with a positive outlook and turning everything into an opportunity
– Share industry knowledge and trends openly across the team
OTHER DUTIES
– Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required
About Connecting Plots
Who is Connecting Plots?
Everything a brand does tells a story and we believe the most successful brands are those who connect their story perfectly across everything they do. That’s where we fit in.
We’re an Effie awarded creative agency who connect all the plots in a brand’s story by combining brand, media, creative and production thinking under one roof.
A Creative Agency Where Old Meets New…
Sometimes to pioneer the future we must look back to what’s worked in the past.
We’re a motley crew of old school thinkers and new world dreamers. A deliberate blend of advertising, entertainment, media, digital and production people who apply proven advertising practices with new media thinking to make every nook and cranny of the marketing mix work as hard as possible.
It’s why we give as many fucks about killer EDM’s as we do about making great ads.
Why Work With Us?
We promise that when your time at CP comes to an end you’ll be better off for it. You’ll see the world and the industry from a different perspective. You’ll become obsessed with business impact through brilliant imaginative ideas that are brought to life perfectly in every single impression.
You’ll enjoy every day in a high performing team with no bullshit culture that genuinely wants to change the industry for the better and cares for nothing more than making great work and getting greedy after results. For us results are what matter. It’s our crack pipe. If you want to work for an agency that prioritises awards over results or the happiness of people then we’re not the place for you.
We have official partnerships with all the major platforms such as Google / YouTube (aka the internet), Meta, Snap and TikTok. This means we’re always on the bleeding edge of what’s next (and we all know these guys love an update). We also have an always on approach to development and training across all departments.
We’re a values led culture with a commitment to creating a culture of freedom and responsibility. We’re 3 days in - 2 days at home. And that’s important. We’re a creative business and we need to be together to solve things and to make a mess. But not all the time. Work from home time is for getting stuff done with mandatory, company wide internal meeting block-outs.
We think of ourselves as a pro-sports team and we know that recovery days are just as important as game day. Each quarter, a Plotter who has lived and breathed the company values scores a special prize.
What we can offer you
In joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to become part of a fast growing independent creative agency with the ability to make great work across a breadth of clients in different sectors.
We believe in continually developing, supporting and training our team members to create the best environment for them to succeed and further their skills. As a member of our team you’ll be exposed to a variety of creative professionals with unique and varying skill sets you can learn from, and become an important role player in developing work you can be proud of.
