A Rewarding Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join our small, fun, professional Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be hands-on in managing payroll, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations that keep the Club running smoothly.

About The Role-Permanent Part Time-3 Days

In this key support role, you will be responsible for:

Processing weekly payroll and maintaining employee records

Preparing and reconciling payroll tax, superannuation, and leave provisions

Assisting with monthly journals, bank reconciliations, and financial reports

Managing BAS lodgements and supporting financial audits

Reconciling general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and petty cash

Supporting fixed asset and stock management

Maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to process improvements

What You Bring to the Role

A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently studying)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant role

Strong proficiency with accounting software (Xero, Accpac) and Microsoft Excel

Experience with payroll processing and accounting compliance

High attention to detail, strong reconciliation and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Experience in a Club or hospitality environment (highly regarded but not essential)
