About the Role

We are seeking a 6-month fixed-term Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports Ricoh Australia’s Trading divisions across day-to-day financial accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting and compliance activities.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, as well as colleagues in Ricoh Asia and Japan, contributing to accurate financial results and continuous improvement of financial controls, policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day financial accounting and month, quarter and year-end close processes
  • Daily bank reconciliations (AUD and USD) and cash book journals
  • IFRS16 lease accounting and make-good provisions
  • Preparation of GST/BAS, Payroll Tax and FBT workpapers
  • Fixed asset accounting and management
  • Inventory and bad debt provision calculations
  • Posting monthly journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations

About You

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent), with eligibility for CA/CPA studies
  • 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting, reporting and reconciliations
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles, including IFRS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Well-developed Excel and MS Office skills
  • Confident communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • A curious mindset and willingness to challenge and improve processes
