Marketing and Event Specialist

Fancy Hank's

We're looking for a Marketing and Events Specialist to take full ownership of function sales and contribute to function marketing activity across all three venues. This is a commercially accountable role — you'll own the function pipeline from first enquiry to post-event follow-up, and you'll work closely with the General Manager to hit group-wide revenue targets.

Whilst the focus will be primarily marketing, the right candidate will be comfortable utilising their sales and events knowledge too. If you thrive on variety, can switch between a client proposal and a Canva asset without missing a beat, and know how to close a function booking, this is built for you.

What You'll Own

Marketing — contributing to campaign planning, writing and designing EDMs across all three brands, and supporting paid social across Meta and Google.

Function sales — managing the full pipeline across all venues, including enquiry response, conversion, pricing strategy, minimum spends, deposit tracking, and monthly reporting to the GM.

Event execution — run sheets, internal comms with kitchen and venue teams, supplier logistics, and client liaison for key functions.

Creative — designing venue collateral (menus, posters, campaign assets) in Canva or InDesign, ensuring everything aligns with each venue's tone and branding.

Tasks/duties Include

  • Oversee operations and marketing activities across three venues, ensuring smooth coordination, consistent branding, and achievement of business growth targets.
  • Design and implement targeted marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns/events aimed at increasing revenue, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
  • Partner with leadership teams to provide strategic guidance on marketing direction, promotional opportunities, pricing structures, and product positioning.
  • Manage the delivery of campaigns/events from concept through to execution, coordinating creative design, copy development, media activity, and budget allocation within set deadlines.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer insights, market activity, and consumer behaviour to uncover opportunities for growth and business development.
  • Identify and anticipate emerging market trends to support future-focused marketing and sales strategies.
  • Conduct research into market demand, customer demographics, and competitor activity to support the development of new and existing offerings.
  • Contribute to business expansion through the implementation of marketing plans, promotional strategies, and operational objectives.
  • Create, schedule, and maintain engaging digital content across social media channels, websites, and other online platforms.
  • Develop and oversee EDM campaigns/events across all venues, focusing on customer retention, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Measure and analyse campaign and sales performance metrics, preparing reports with actionable recommendations to optimise results.
  • Undertake market research and data analysis to identify opportunities for improving products, services, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by managing enquiries across multiple inboxes, phone communications, and in-person venue interactions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor Degree (or higher) in related or closely related field of study
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in related or closely related field
  • Proven experience in function sales or events coordination, ideally in hospitality
  • Strong commercial instincts, you understand revenue targets and how to work towards them
  • Confident communicator who can manage client relationships and internal teams equally well
  • Hands-on with design tools — Canva at minimum, InDesign a bonus
  • Familiarity with EDM platforms and paid social
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple venues and deadlines simultaneously
